As we cannot choose one favorite beach, here are five remarkable beaches:
Playa Maderas
Surfers, rejoice! Situated just a short ride from San Juan del Sur, this beach is the go-to for wave enthusiasts of all levels.
Playa La Flor
This beach has an added bonus! – the Wildlife! located 35 minutes from San Juan del Sur , you can take a night trip to see the Olive ridley sea turtle who comes there to nest.
Playa Las Peñitas
Situated in Leon, it has a charming village with lots of outdoor tours and easy acces to Juan Venado Reserve. After an active day, make sure to taste the local cuisine at one of the beachfront restaurants.
San Juan del Sur
The most visited beach town in Nicaragua offers a place for everyone. Its location makes it a great base to explore the beaches in the south while providing access to local bars and restaurants.
Corn Island
This tropical paradise, consisting of two main islands, Big & Little Corn Island, offers visitors an escape to pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs and laid-back island life.
